Kevin Spacey to Host the Tony Awards

Popular actor of stage and screen, Kevin Spacey, has been selected to host the 71st Annual Tony Awards. A Tony-winner himself, Spacey won for Best Featured Actor in a Play in 1991, appearing in Neil Simon’s Lost in Yonkers. The Tony Awards will be presented live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Sunday, June 11 (8:00-11:00 PM, ET/delayed PT). Presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing, The Tony Awards are presented every spring as a celebration of excellence in Broadway Theatre.

Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Carousel to Spin Again

The 2017-2018 Broadway Season will include a revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s classic musical Carousel. The New York Times has reported that Director Jack O’Brien (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) will helm the production produced by Scott Rudin and Roy Furman. Leading the cast will be Jessie Mueller as Julie Jordan, Joshua Henry as Billy Bigelow, and Renée Fleming as Nettie Fowler. Justin Peck will provide the choreography.
